Frequently asked questions
- My furnace ignites then shuts off after a few seconds — what's wrong?
- That short-cycling is usually a sail switch, a dirty or failing igniter/flame sensor, or restricted airflow. It's a common, diagnosable fault — not usually a reason to replace the whole furnace.
- Can you fix a furnace that won't light at all?
- Yes. No-light calls come down to power, the propane supply, the igniter, or the control board. We work through those in order so you're only paying for the part that actually failed.
- Do you check the propane system too?
- When the furnace symptom points to gas supply, yes — regulator, lines, and delivery. A furnace that won't light is sometimes a propane-delivery problem, not the furnace itself.
